Distribution Complex
Description
Your Manufacturing Complex describes the collection of structures on your 48 x 48 block Distribution Plot. Over the course of the Challenge, your team will construct Technology Level 1-4 houses, Utility Buildings and decorations (flowers, paintings, etc. because those efficient little autonomous robots are starting to have thoughts and feelings now) to increase the Robot Population Capacity of your Complex and the Efficiency of your robots. As you construct additional Warehousing, more Polycraft World Delivery Bots will decide to arrive on your verdant island, call it home and become your Autonomous Robot Fleet to gather materials during the day and deliver goods back to the world at night. Autonomous Delivery Robots will arrive each Minecraft day at 10 AM based on the number of valid Conveyor Belts in your Manufacturing Complex. More advanced warehouses are able to hold more conveyor belts and be built with increasing numbers of stories to increase your robot population density.
To "merely" upgrade your manufacturing complex to Technology Level 4, (or 8 for the likely BEST Champion teams), you do not need to be concerned about your Robots' well-being and Efficiency. However, this will have a big effect on your final score. As you engineer your manufacturing complex and unlock new Utility Buildings, you must be creative in your civil engineering to position structures for maximum utility to increase your utility score and bolster each Robot's efficiency. It is likely that winning teams will use advanced Power Tools to rapidly tear down and renovate structures as the teams progress through different ages.
- Your Manufacturing Complex must be built on your Distribution Plot located on your team's unique Island Manufacturing Nexus.
- Your Manufacturing Complex will consist of Warehousing at different Technology Levels enabling increasing Robot Population Capacity per structure.
- As you increase the size of your Manufacturing Complex, Polycraft World Delivery Bots will arrive and become industrious helpers.
- Your Manufacturing Complex should contain Central Receiving with at least one Supply Chest to reap the rewards of your hardworking Robots during their production phase.
- Your Manufacturing Complex should contain Utility Buildings that improve Utility Access of your Robots to keep them more efficient.
- Your Manufacturing Complex houses should de designed with a certain Ambience to also improve Robot Efficiency as this style helps them rapidly naviagate otherwise simliar looking warehouses and structures. The local flair and ambiance help the robots locate their current position and path plan complex delivery routes.
