Regulator (Low Pressure)
Description
A pressure regulator is a type of control valve used to release a highly pressurized fluid at a set lower pressure. This allows for a variety of liquids and gases to be safely and efficiently manipulated for a number of different purposes. As such, this valve is a necessary component of many devices and machines found in Polycraft. A pressure regulator's capacity to withstand intense pressures is directly tied to the materials used to create it. That being said, the first type of regulator available for crafting in Polycraft will only be able to handle low pressures. This item is useful as it is a component of the machines needed to progress through Polycraft's tech tree, namely the Distillation Column and the Steam Cracker. To craft this item, you will need redstone and multiple of both Gasket (Low Pressure) and Hose (Low Pressure) as specified in a recipe below. However, it should be noted that one will need access to an Injection Molder and an Extruder in order to craft any gasket or hose, respectively. Also, since these are low pressure items, it would be ideal to have a Tree Tap farm set up for PolyIsoPrene Pellets. One final note, the machines needed for the crafting of a pressure regulator both need fuel and water as well as the proper molds to specify what you are crafting. Both the Mold (Gasket) and Metal Die (Hose) will need to be crafted using a Machining Mill.
