Description

A Steam Cracker is a Polycraft Inventory that is used to process fuels, distallates and other materials. In chemistry, steam cracking is a process in which complex organic molecules such as long-chain hydrocarbons are broken into simpler hydrocarbons, by the breaking of carbon-carbon bonds. The rate of cracking and the end products are strongly dependent on the temperature and presence of catalysts. Steam crackers allow you to process more sophisticated rubbers ingredients such as Beaker (Butadiene). Polycraft World also enables Steam Cracking of larger alkanes into smaller, more useful alkanes and alkenes. Simply put, hydrocarbon cracking is the process of breaking a long-chain of hydrocarbons into short ones.
