Regulator (High Pressure)

Description

A pressure regulator is a type of control valve used to release a highly pressurized fluid at a set lower pressure. This allows for a variety of liquids and gases to be safely and efficiently manipulated for a number of different purposes. As such, this valve is a necessary component of many devices and machines found in Polycraft. The third tier of regulator available for crafting in Polycraft can handle even greater pressures, offering access to even stronger versions of existing devices and the Oil Derrick, a machine that greatly simplifies the task of gathering oil. To craft this item, you will need redstone and multiple of both Gasket (High Pressure) and Hose (High Pressure) as specified in a recipe below. However, it should be noted that one will need access to an Injection Molder and an Extruder in order to craft any gasket or hose, respectively. Also, since these are high pressure items, much stronger plastics will be necessary to create them. The plastics available in the crafting of these items include Bag (Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber Pellets), Bag (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber Pellets), Bag (Hydrogenated Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber Pellets), Bag (Bromine Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber Pellets), and Bag (Chlorine Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber Pellets), however, the Hydrogenated Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber Pellets are redundant to craft. All of the plastics listed require the use of a Chemical Processor based on their given recipes. The resources needed for these recipes will likely require the use of the Chemical Processor as well if not some of the other machines lower on the tech tree. One final note, the machines needed for the crafting of a pressure regulator both need fuel and water as well as the proper molds to specify what you are crafting. Both the Mold (Gasket) and Metal Die (Hose) will need to be crafted using a Machining Mill.
