Description

Want to help pay for school by playing Polycraft World? UT Dallas is hosting weekly competitions searching for the "Polycrafter of the Week." Qualified weekly winners will receive $5,000 scholarships to attend UT Dallas. Applicants will be asked to submit short YouTube videos addressing weekly challenges that are posed by the Polycraft Team. Stay tuned for more details!

Scholarships went live Sept. 3, 2015 at noon CST.

Release Date: Oct. 1, 2015, noon Central Time Due Date: Dec. 25, 2015, noon Central Time Award Date: Jan. 22, 2016 Type: Arts Submission: Artwork / Video Submit a Polycraft World texture pack and 60-second YouTube video that shows off your texture pack you have created. To enter this competition, follow these steps:
1. Upload a 60-second video of your creation on UT Dallas' servers to YouTube.
2. Cut and paste the link to your YouTube video onto the submission page when you are logged in to the Portal.


#2: Bounce Check

Release Date: Sept. 10, 2015, noon Central Time
Due Date: Dec. 3, 2015, 11 a.m. Central Time
Award Date: Dec. 31, 2015
Type: Engineering
Submission: Video

In a 60-second video, highlight your creativity using bouncy blocks (and perhaps beds, pistons, lava, freeze rays, pressure plates, trip wires and more) built on UT Dallas' Polycraft World servers. Remember, more advanced rubbers let you bounce higher, and this is Texas so bigger is better.

2. Cut and paste the link to your YouTube video onto the submission page when you are logged in to the Portal.


#1: Fall Presence

Release Date: Sept. 3, 2015, noon Central Time
Due Date: Nov. 26, 2015, noon Central Time
Award Date: Dec. 24, 2015
Type: Leadership
Submission: Video / Analytics
Challenge: Have the most people visit your private property between 9/3/2015 and 11/26/2015 and submit a 60-second YouTube video showing off your property. In the unlikely event of a tie, winner will be the Polycrafter that got to that number first.

To enter this competition, follow these steps:
1. Upload a 60-second video of a tour of your private property to YouTube.
2. Cut and paste the link to your YouTube video onto the submission page when you are logged in to the Portal.
3. Our server side analytics will count how many unique visitors enter your private property.
