Description

Imagine living in a dark room with no flowers, no paintings, and the nearest toilet 100 yards away! That's no way to live. Would you feel very motivated to make materials for the next Tech Level? I think not.

Each of your Refugees will have a 'Happiness' level that can range from 0-2. Up to 1 point of Happiness can come from how nice their house is (Housing Amenity). Up to 1 additional point of Happiness can come from how close they are to the Community Buildings in your Village, such as Toilets (Communal Amenity). Take care of your Refugees, and they will take care of you.

Happiness Score

Happiness Score = Housing Amenity Score + Communal Amenity Score.

Score range = 0-2.

Housing Amenity Score

Score Range = 0-1.

Ways to improve the Score: Make sure the inside and the front door of the home are well-lit. Add more windows, flowers (inside or outside), and paintings to the house.

Item Score Range # Needed for Maximum Score
Paintings 0.0 - 0.4 1 painting per Tech Level of the house (e.g., a Plexiglass house would need 4 paintings for a max score)
Flowers 0.0 - 0.4 4 flowers for every 25 blocks of structure footprint (floor + outer walls except for corners) (e.g., a 5x10 Plexiglass house would need 8 flowers for a max score)
Windows 0.0 - 0.4 1 window for every 2 blocks of structure footprint (floor + outer walls except for corners) (e.g., a 5x10 Plexiglass house would need 25 windows for a max score)
Internal Light Level -50% Modifier If the internal lowest light value is too dark, lose 50% of the above amenity scores.
External Door Light Level at Night -50% Modifier If the light level of the external door at night is too dark, lose 50% of the above amenity scores.
Maximum Score Max = 1 If all of the above scores are perfect, the score will still max-out at 1, not 1.2.
