Description
A distillation column can be used to separate liquids and gases based on the difference in their boiling points. Using a heat source (wood, coal, lava, or other hydrocarbon fuels mined in Polycraft) and buckets of water, different items ranging from agricultural items (apples, wheat, potatoes) to crude oil can be separated into their different components. The distillation column is needed to convert crude oil into its more useful individual components such as natural gas (methane) and fuels such as diesel, gasoline and jet fuel. Food items such as wheat, potatoes, apples, carrots and nether wart can be distilled into alcoholic beverages like wine and brandy.
