Description

As of version 1.3.5, Polycraft World has rewritten communication protocols. All texting is now overridden and only rebroadcast within 32 blocks of the user. If a Polycrafter uses a Voice Cone, they can communicate at a distance of 64 blocks. If a Polycrafter uses a Megaphone they can communicate at a distance of 128 blocks. More sophisticated communication exists on different frequencies once Polycrafters have built a Cleanroom, constructed wafers and chips and built electronic communication devices.

As of 1.3.5, the "/tell" command has not yet been overridden, although it will be in future releases. This is a transition decision to lessen the impact of not being able to communicate at will across large servers. Once the online auction house is live and Polycrafters can buy and sell (virtually of course) items and goods, the "/tell" command will also be deprecated.
