Description

The building block of Polexiglas is a monomer of methyl methacrylate.

Polexiglas is a Polycraft World Trademarked version of poly (methyl methacrylate) or (PMMA). PMMA and its derivatives are acrylics that are used in a wide variety of consumer and industrial products including basketball backboards, windows, commercial and residential aquariums and lighthouse lenses. Learn about its history and other great uses on Wikipedia. Polexiglas is the preferred construction material of choice at Technology Level 4 in the 2021 BEST Robotics 3D Printing Challenge. Industrious Villagers begin to provide raw materials to process Polexiglas once you hit a Population Capacity of 48 living in Stone Houses at Technology Level 3. Crafty teams may be able to reverse engineer the synthetic process to make Polexiglas, and with some scavenging, milling, molding, and processing, you could reach rates even higher than your Villagers can provide...but make sure you use your limited time in the challenge wisely. Polexiglas blocks are clear and transparent giving incredible aesthetic capabilities to Technology Level 4 Village Plot civic engineers. Remember the ratio of Polexiglas blocks to other construction materials is less severe also than in dirt, wood or stone houses, enabling a greater portion of walls to be other materials (e.g. windows). For aesthetic purposes you can use other windows in Polexiglas houses if you'd like to, but you don't have to, to maximize your amenity score and maximize Villager Happiness.

Pro Tip: Drums are 64 times larger than Beakers and Powder Kegs are 64 times larger than Sacks and Canisters are 64 times larger than Cartidges. Engineering sleuths just might find some more efficient ways to make Polexiglas...
