Description

Warehouses give your delivery bots, a place to store goods and distribute them. As your distribution center progresses to higher Technology Levels, your efficiency will slowly grow. Better warehouses, better machinery, and better Utility Buildings are a recipe for success.

Warehouses

Warehouses need a few basic things to be usable: 1) They shouldn't be open to the outside world. That's just not safe. They must have four walls and a roof. 2) They need a Door to enter. 3) They need a charging stations of the matching Technology Level. 4) They need to be structurally sound, being built with the suggested materials.

Once your warehouse meets the basic requirements above, the Technology Level will be determined by if it is constructed with the correct materials and if it has the right type of charging station. As you advance through the ages, the construction materials become stronger and able to support larger structures, which in turn allows you to place more charging stations and increase your capacity. Another benefit of advanced materials is that stronger materials need to make up less and less of a structure's walls, allowing you to be more creative with adding windows and using other materials in your buildings to increase output.

For the exact requirements needed for a house to qualify for a given Technology Level, see the table below:

Tech Level Required Construction Material Required Machinery Maximum Structure Footprint (including walls) Room configurations Allowable Height of Doors (# of blocks above the Village Plot Blocks) % of Walls that Must be Construction Material (not including corners/floor/ceiling) Population Capacity
1 Dirt Dirty Charging Station 25 sq. meters 5x5 blocks (3x3 interior) 4 blocks (~ 1 story) >= 85% 1
2 Wood Woody Charging Station 40 sq. meters 5x8 blocks (3x6 interior) or 6x6 blocks with overhang (4x4 interior with 2 block overhang) 4 blocks (~ 1 story) >= 75% 2
3 Stone(not cobblestone) Marbled Charging Station 55 sq. meters 5x11 blocks (3x9 interior) or 7x7 blocks with overhang (5x5 interior with 2-6 block overhang) 8 blocks (~ 2 stories) >= 65% 3
4 Polexiglas Plexi Charging Station 70 sq. meters 5x14 blocks (3x12 interior) or 8x8 blocks (6x6 interior) with overhang 8 blocks (~ 2 stories) >= 55% 4
5 ABS Bricks Plastic Charging Station 85 sq. meters 5x17 blocks (3x15 interior) and others 12 blocks (~ 3 stories) >= 50% 5
6 Bronze Bronze Charging Station 100 sq. meters 5x20 blocks or 10x10 blocks 16 blocks (~ 4 stories) >= 45% 7
7 Stainless Steel Stainless Steel Charging Station 115 sq. meters 5x23 blocks or 10x11 blocks 20 blocks (~ 5 stories) >= 40% 9
8 Carbon Fiber Resin Carbon Fiber Epoxy charging station 130 sq. meters 5x26 blocks or 11x11 blocks 24 blocks (~ 6 stories) >= 35% 11

[[Charging Stations

Every charging station in a warehouse counts as 1 capacity within your distribution plot. Similar to the construction material upgrades, every Technology Level upgrades the quality of the charging stations in your warehouses. To count towards your score, any charging station must match the Technology Level of the warehouses it is in. Please see the Table above for more information.

Multistory Houses

As your construction material advances (starting at Technology Level 3), you can start to 3D Print multi-story structures and build your Island Distribution Nexus vertically! While this gives you increased opportunities to skyrocket your capacity, the delivery bots must still be able to safely enter each home. For any door to be valid that is more than 2 blocks above the ground level, it must have a ladder nearby that extends safely to the ground.
