Description

Creation

In order to create a heated knife handle, you must first make a mold. The mold will be made in the Machining Mill and will require 20 of any one of the following: Nickel Ingot, Cobalt Ingot, Bismuth Ingot, Tungsten Ingot, Manganese Ingot, Antimony Ingot, Aluminum Ingot, Magnesium Ingot, Titanium Ingot, Platinum Ingot, Bronze Ingot, Nichrome Ingot, Antimony-Lead Ingot, Steel Ingot, Stainless Steel Ingot, Brass Ingot, or Tungsten Carbide Ingot.

Once you have enough ingots, place them in the Machining Mill as shown. This image uses nickel ingots, but you can substitute any of the above types instead.

After you have your mold, you can begin collecting polymers to create the handle. You will need 16 bags of either PolyIsoPrene Pellets, PolyPropylene Pellets, or PolyEther Ether Keytone Pellets.

The easiest one to collect is PolyIsoPrene. You can collect 1 bag every 2 minutes from a Tree Tap.

To create PolyPropylene pellets, you have to start by distilling buckets of Crude Oil in a Distillation Column. This should give you beakers of crude oil that you can then distill again, giving you Naphtha. You will then distill the Naphtha to get Light Naphtha which you then distill once again to produce Light Olefins. For your final distillation, you distill those Light Olefins into flasks of Propylene. Once you have your Propylene, go to a furnace and smelt it to get PolyPropylene pellets. In order to produce 16 bags of PolyPropylene, you will need to distill only 1 bucket of crude oil.

In order to make PolyEther Ether Keytone, you have to already have access to a Chemical Processor. There are quite a few steps to making PEEK, starting with...

Once you have your 16 bags of pellets, you merely input them into the Injection Molder along with the mold as shown, and wait for your heated knife handle to be ready.
